2026 Tax Road Bonds

The upcoming $11,525,000 tax road bond issue is designed to reimburse developers for essential infrastructure, including road construction, grading, and associated engineering costs, with bids planned for submission on November 12th. Backed by an unlimited tax pledge, with a 30-day close period to follow.

Engineering & Infrastructure Update

The District Engineer presented status reports on current public works projects and district infrastructure:

William Services Agreement: Reviewed a recurring sign maintenance contract for Belmont 2 to avoid separate construction contracts for minor repairs.

Master Service Agreement & Center Street Repairs: Discussed establishing a broader master service agreement to reduce recurring administrative overhead. Williams Brothers proposed installing spring-loaded metal posts to mitigate repeat damage to signs along Center Street.

Parkside Drive Stop Signs: At the recommendation of the District engineering team and traffic study, there will be a change in traffic pattern on 8th Street and Parkside Drive. The stop signs that are currently placed on 8th Street will be removed, and moved to face Parkside Drive

I-35 Right-of-Way Cleanout: Continued discussions with an adjacent property owner regarding temporary or permanent easements. The district is evaluating whether to wait for nearby commercial retail construction to clear drainage ditches or proceed immediately under agreed access terms.

Routine Invoices & Road Repairs: Processed invoices for mowing and quarterly maintenance. Asphalt patching is scheduled to begin within the next week to ten days.
