Consent Agenda

The Board reviewed and approved routine operational items under the consent agenda, including:

  • Approval of official minutes from the July 13, 2026 Board of Supervisors meeting.

  • The District Tax Collections Report.

  • Developer’s report on development of new homes in the district.

  • Animal control patrol report provided by All-American Dogs, Inc.

Bookkeeper’s Report

Year to date operating expenses remain aligned with projected budgets, and utility service revenues continue to meet expectations. The Board voted to formally accept the financial report as presented.

2026 Tax Rate Recommendations & Special Action

Financial advisors from Cedar Creek Municipal Advisors, LLC presented the 2026 tax rate analysis based on certified values from the Denton Central Appraisal District.

  • Public Hearing Notice: The Board set the date for the formal public tax hearing and authorized publishing the required statutory notice to residents. The public hearing will be held on September 9, 2026.

  • Supervisor Governance: The Board passed a resolution establishing supervisor fees of office and updated reimbursement policies in accordance with Section 49.060 of the Texas Water Code.

Engineering & Infrastructure Update

The District Engineer presented status reports on current public works projects and district infrastructure:

  • Capital Improvements: Updates were provided on culvert cleanout and ongoing stormwater collection matters. Mowing contracts were also discussed for East Harvest.

  • Traffic Study: The Board authorized a multi-way stop analysis on Parkside Drive to determine if additional stop signs are warranted in the area. This study is currently ongoing.

  • Future Work: Authorization was granted to engineering personnel to finalize design plans for scheduled utility maintenance.

Communication Update

The District Engineer presented status reports on current public works projects and district infrastructure:

  • Digital Outreach & Inquiries: Reviewed website performance metrics, resident tracker tickets, and recent email updates.

  • Community Engagement: Announced upcoming resident outreach opportunities at the seasonal Harvest Market events. The Board also authorized the printing of new handouts for events.

The next regular meeting of the Belmont FWSD No. 2 Board of Supervisors will take place on September 9 at 6:30pm at 1301 Homestead Way, Argyle, Texas.
